Memories of a Murderer: The Nilsen Tapes
The Nilsen Tapes is a documentary on Dennis Nilsen, a serial killer. He narrates his life and horrific crimes via a series of chilling audiotapes recorded from his jail cell.
It is a very graphic documentary as we are led through Nilsen's crimes and a little bit of his childhood.
The documentary used a lot of actual footage which gives a much more terrifying feel.
There are also interviews with the survivors which gives us more insight into the crimes and the killer's mind.
Overall it is a well-made documentary that any documentary lover can enjoy.
FYRE
This documentory shows us the ramification for not taking a 'NO' for an answer. Billy is an apotheosis of being blind positive, overly ambitious and super greedy. The storytelling is great because of the rollercoaster ride of emotion from the preparation, to the excruciating scene on the event itself up the aftermath. I felt sad for those who work with the festival especially the jamaicans who work almost a whole day to construct the place where the guest were suppose to stay to later found out that they wont get a single penny for their hardwork. Even if he already sentenced, he really has an obdurate behavior by using the email list from the unfortunate Fyre attendees offering too-good-to-be-true passes to Met Gala and Taylor Swift Meet and Greet. This docu give us to be cognizant to this kind of people to avoid being conned.
MAI
A mother's protective instincts and intense reaction on seeing her child in harm's way has spurred different degrees of drama and retribution. What Mai brings to the table is her capacity to stay maternal even under the most trying of circumstances.
Set in Lucknow, this six-part Web series written by Atul Mongia, Amita Vyas and Tamal Sen and co-directed by Mongia and Anshai Lal centres on an aggrieved mother deep diving into a dark world of deceit and crime in an attempt to seek closure
BRIDGERTON
Season 1 of Bridgeton was a run away success which held on to everyone’s breathe till the last moment!
Season 2 is a less playful and isn’t that fiery like the season 1. The expectations of the audience might’ve been disappointed a little.
Comparing the two seasons might not do justice to either because, beyond the bustles and the balls, the corsets and the chaises, the vicissitudes of the ton and the eccentricities of the queen, they do not have much in common.
The second season wasn’t as fast pace. The desire is hidden and forbidden, paving the way for the torture, the longing looks, the magnetic pull and the inability to stay away from each other—pure gold for a true romance lover.
Audience are definitely disappointed for not having Simons appearance for once throughout the 2nd season. Other than this, the passion is plausible for the most part. There is even a shirtless Mr Darcy moment thrown in for good measure, when it is not just Kate who wishes she had her smelling salts to keep from swooning.
