Ixplorei is an organization very close to my heart. Like its name suggests this organization conducts programs to help you explore yourself. I became a part of this organization in my school days. Since then, I have actively participated in all their activities. In 2020, before the pandemic a project namely ‘Navadurga’ was launched. This program is focused on the empowerment of girls and young women. This program helps every girl to know her strengths and get acquainted with how this strength can be used for personal development. The basic objectives of this project are building confidence, helping girls become aware of their inner strengths, and working on the fears which are in our subconscious minds. This program uses experiential learning methods to achieve the objectives. To start off with this initiative we visited different schools in Pune, Ichalkaranji, Miraj, and Sangli. These schools were all-girls schools with students from lower-class backgrounds. Adventure activities were carried out to help the girls conquer their fears. Self-defense training was also provided. The girls seemed to really enjoy it and connected with all of us immediately. Being a part of this initiative has helped me realize the importance of self-defense. It was really satisfying to connect with those girls and help them conquer their fears. This program helped me through my own fears of adventure activities.
