Gender stratification
Why is giving any other gender lack of leadership considered pride?
Why divide one world into genders when all of them can coincide?
Why not create a society where all the genders have equal rights?
Why is providing someone with unlike control and status considered delights?
Why put any limit to someone’s potential in existence?
Why can’t a woman work outside while a man alone raises a child without any resistance?
Why are the wages and treatment at workplaces not based on someone’s education?
Why do people tend to forget that there are many other genders as well that form a nation?
Why follow the old gender norms and stereotypes, which may lead to inequality?
Why not create conditions with a new ideology which promotes human curiosity?
Why not we together as a society put an end to gender stratification?
Why ignore it when all it takes is a little bit of communication?
Equality of the sexes
Early in my world, when I was born and had a hard time opening my eyes,
Even the sunrise and the blue sky were none other than a surprise.
My parents got to that moment where they led me through the light, Believe me, all in the early seconds of my life felt like a delight.
When I came of age, I went out into the world to shine and explore.
I've seen gender inequities, but they've asked me to sweep them under the floor.
A boy didn't have the right to cry when a girl had to know how to cook, Boys dressed in pink and girls playing football got that embarrassing look.
Gender inequalities also prevailed in marriages and workplaces,
Women have to fight just to make their own name. What an unfortunate case!
Domestic violence, threats, rapes, and killings add to the misery,
When the LGBTQ community gains its rights, this remains a mystery. Life already has several challenges for us to add onto it,
Killing a preborn but survivable foetus is a terrible crime to commit.
Respecting one's various behaviours, aspirations and needs is all we ask,
If you love your mother and father equally, gender equality might not be a daunting task.
The Equality Mindset
Why should be there one earning pillar when you can have two,
Why are a man and a woman managing a home together something new?
A well-educated man is regarded as a well-educated individual, But why not educate all genders fairly belong to the common ritual.
Beti Padhao, Beti Bacho is the motto they say,
So why do we exploit, degrade, break through, and make her easy prey?
We find that the number of girls going to school is relatively low.
Evidence such as this tells us that our country still has a long way to go.
There is a marriage that is shared equally between both sexes and it is known,
A woman should not feed a child on her own
while a man sits comfortably on the throne.
She moves out after the wedding and changes her last name,
You know, marriage is no game and there's nobody to blame.
Respecting not only women but people is something that is not taught.
Domestic violence and sexual harassment are two-way crimes, are they not?
No sex is bigger, smaller, right or wrong,
Every gender has a beauty of its own, just like the melodies of a song.
